Coronation Street's Ciaran Griffiths has seemingly married his partner and confirmed the news by sharing a photo on social media. The 41-year-old actor, known for his role as Damon Hay, posted a picture of him posing with his new wife on a boat in front of the Sydney Opera House.
Former Shameless star Ciaran, originally from Manchester, lives in Australia with his new wife and son. He previously opened up about the difficulty of being away from his family.
"It was hard the first time, but my son is a bit older now, he understands a bit more so I don't feel as guilty leaving him, even though I'm doing it for them anyway," he said. "But the weather's terrible, I'm never ill in Australia, yet I get here and straight away I've got a cold."

He first went to Australia in 2019 for a theatre production and ended up meeting his now wife, which made him decide to stay in the sunny country.
The uncofirmed wedding news comes after Ciaran quit the soap after two years. His final scenes aired last month as Damon decided he needed to end things with Sarah and leave her family alone to protect them, reports the Mirror.
During the episode, Damon asks Sarah to come visit him in prison and decides he needs to end it with her. As they sat together, he declared to her: "I don't want you to do that because I asked you here to tell you to your face, we're finished. I'm doing you a massive favour. You turned my world upside down but if I loved you, properly loved you, I wouldn't have done the stuff I've done. You've got to walk away. I'm sorry, it's my decision. Goodbye, Sarah."
