Coronation Street actor Ciarán Griffiths has tied the knot in secret and shared a sweet snap from the special day.
The 41-year-old soap actor, known for playing Damon Hay on the ITV soap, took to his social media page to update his profile picture with a gorgeous new photo.
In the snap, Ciarán and his new wife posed on a boat right in front of the iconic Sydney Opera House.
The soap star is originally from Manchester but now resides in Australia with his new wife and son. He previously opened up about the difficulty of being away from his family.
He told ITV: "It was hard the first time, but my son is a bit older now, he understands a bit more so I don't feel as guilty leaving him, even though I'm doing it for them anyway.
"But the weather’s terrible, I’m never ill in Australia, yet I get here and straight away I’ve got a cold."
Ciarán first went to Australia in 2019 for a theatre production and ended up meeting his now wife, which made him decide to stay down under.
Ciarán recently quit the Cobbles after two years with his final scenes airing last month as Damon decided he needed to end things with Sarah and leave her family alone to protect them. During the episode, Damon asks Sarah to come visit him in prison and decides he needs to end it with her.
He told her: "I don’t want you to do that because I asked you here to tell you to your face, we’re finished. I’m doing you a massive favour. You turned my world upside down but if I loved you, properly loved you, I wouldn’t have done the stuff I’ve done. You’ve got to walk away. I’m sorry, it’s my decision. Goodbye, Sarah."
