Coronation Street viewers were left delighted when Nicky Wheatley arrived back in Weatherfield last month. The character, who is played by actress Kimberly Hart-Simpson, first joined the cobbles back in 2020 where she developed a complicated on-screen relationship with Daniel Osbourne but left after four months to start a new life. Following more than a year away from our TV screens, Kimberly has reprised her role as Nicky, who is working alongside Daniel as a teaching assistant at Weatherfield High.
But despite Nicky’s life seemingly going from strength-to-strength, her world started to crumble last week when Daniel was caught rowing about his past relationship with her. Ahead of her return to our screens, the Coronation Street star revealed that she was among the vast number of celebs who have claimed to visualise their success. Speaking exclusively to OK! magazine, Kimberly announced that she manifested her return in two and a half hours. She explained: “The first thing that went on that board was Coronation Street! I wrote a line about how I’d feel if I got to go back and who I’d tell first.
“Two and a half hours later my agent called me and said Corrie had put the feelers out. It made me feel so powerful.” And though the power of manifestation may have made her comeback all the more special, her first appearance on the show as sex worker Nicky was meaningful to the actress for a different reason.
