Coronation Street star Kimberly Hart-Simpson fought back the tears as she emotionally opened up about her late dad's final wish. The actress, who has recently returned to the cobbles as Nicky Wheatley, joined the Loose Women ladies on the panel on Tuesday (May 17).
The soap star was on to chat about her latest storyline in the ITV soap which will see the former sex worker suggest to Daniel Osbourne, who she first hit it off with in 2020, that they could have a future together.
But while chatting to Kaye Adams, Katie Piper, Coleen Nolan, and Brenda Edwards, Rhyl-born Kimberly was asked about her late father. It comes after the 35-year-old shared a tribute to him on what would have been his birthday earlier this week.

She shared that he was "one of my biggest driving forces" before sharing the things he loved, including Corrie. When Katie mentioned to Kimberly that her dad would be proud, she replied: "My dad passed away and before he did we had many conversations, beautiful moments together because we knew he was going, and he said to me at the end..."
Kimberly, whose dad died in 2020, began to choke back the tears as Coleen offered her some support. Taking a deep breath, she said: "'He said, 'Can you do me a favour and get in Corrie.'"
Kaye commented that it was "a very dad thing to say" and Kimberly laughed before joking: "Also, do you know the stress he's put on me. Ten years I've been trying to get on that show because of him. I just wanted to go and live a nice life and chill, but he put that on me."
