Coronation Street's Sally Dynevor shares surprise as co-star quits in 'breaking news' announcement on Loose Women

Coronation Street star Sally Dynevor appeared slightly lost for wards when it was announced her co-star had quit while she was live on Loose Women. The actress was back on the ITV lunchtime show's panel on Wednesday (June 4) following her successful stint on the programme last month.
Sally joined Christine Lampart and Brenda Edwards while Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, also made a return to the panel. But near the end of the show, Christine revealed there has been some 'breaking news' from the cobbles.
She confirmed the news that Helen Worth, famed for playing Gail Platt in Corrie, had quit the long-running soap. It has been announced that not only will she be celebrating 50 years on the ITV soap, but Helen will also be looking forward to a very different future as she has made the difficult decision to step down from her role at the end of the year.

Corrie confirmed in its announcement that Helen will start filming her exit story next month and the emotional scenes will be on screen at the end of the year.
Speaking of her upcoming exit, Helen has said: "This year felt like the perfect time to leave the show after celebrating 50 years in the most wonderful job on the most wonderful street in the world. I made the decision at the start of the year and spoke to the producers who were very kind and understanding.
