Coronation Street's Jude Riordan delights fans with soap news as he's seen with co-stars after sad loss

Coronation Street star Jude Riordan has been flooded with praise and support from his online followers as he delighted them with some soap news. The actor revealed he was back filming on the ITV soap following a Christmas break which also saw the youngster face a sad loss.
Jude, who is known to viewers for playing Sam Blakeman in the ITV soap but also stars in Sky's Brassic as Tyler Croft, confirmed before 2023 came to an end that he'd suffered the loss of his grandmother. The 12-year-old announced a few days after Christmas that his great gran, Sheila Bolton, known to him as 'MA' had died.
The post featuring an illustration and a picture of Shelia read: "Yesterday my Great Gran (MA) passed away. I will miss her forever. I was 'made' for MA but that's a story for another day. MA is the reason older people are my favourites. Rest in peace Sheila Bolton."

The comments section of the post on Instagram was soon flooded with messages of condolences for the young soap star and his family including from Corrie co-star Alex Bain, who portrays Simon Barlow on the cobbles, who replied: "So sorry mate hope you're doing okay feel free to reach out if you need anything!"
Jude later returned to his social media account, which is run and managed by his parents, with a message to mark the end of the year. He typed the message against a black backdrop on his Instagram Story with a sparkling heart that said inside: "New Year's wishes are lovingly sent to the HEAVENS above to where YOU went..."
