Coronation Street star has opened up about her experiences with vitiligo. Taking to Instagram, the 31-year-old actor, who is best known for her role as Katy Armstrong in Corrie, shared the news of her diagnosis with fans. Vitiligo is a long-term condition which sees pale white patches develop on the skin as a result of a lack of melanin.

Ian Bartholomew, who played Geoff Metcalfe in the ITV soap, auditioned for the talent show back in January. The two soap stars have been recognised in the Queen's Birthday Honours, with Helen, 71, being honoured for her services to drama, while Antony, 46, has been recognised for his services to British Army, personnel and veterans.

A host of Coronation Street stars were spotted in Manchester on Monday as they attended the press night for The Play That Goes Wrong at the city’s Opera House Theatre.
