Coronation Street icon Sally Dynevor has said she 'couldn't be prouder' as it was revealed that her daughter Hattie Dynevor is following in her acting footsteps. The actress, who is famed for playing Sally Metcalfe - nee Webster - in the ITV soap - was quick to respond to Hattie's social media announcement.
Taking to Instagram, Hattie revealed that she had landed a role in Waterloo Road. And she's not the first in the family to bag a role in the BBC One school drama as her older sister, Phoebe, also had a role in the show a number of years ago, playing the role of Siobhan Mailey between 2009 and 2010, before going on to find worldwide fame in Netflix's Bridgerton.
It has been announced that Hattie will be taking on the role of Libby Guthrie in the 13th series of Waterloo Road, the third run of the show since it was rebooted by the BBC last year.

Other newcomers to the upcoming series have been announced as Zak Sutcliffe as Schumacher 'Schuey' Weever, Tillie Armartey as Stace Neville, Maisie Robinson as Portia Weever, and Aabay Noor Ali as Mollie 'Mog' Richardson.
Announcing the news on social media alongside a snap of her in character, Hattie shared: "So excited to finally reveal I’ll be playing the series regular role of Libby Guthrie in #WaterlooRoad." She added: "Thrilled to be joining such an amazing cast and crew."
Mum Sally was quick to respond to the post, writing: "I couldn’t be prouder. Love you," alongside a string of red hearts. Sally's Corrie co-star Elle Mulvaney, whose boyfriend Liam Scholes plays Noel McManus in Waterloo Road, simply replied with a number of clapping emojis.
