Colin Woodell (The Flight Attendant) has been tapped as the lead in The Continental, Starz’s TV series prequel to the Keanu Reeves film franchise John Wick. Woodell, who will play Winston Scott, the younger version of Ian McShane’s character from the John Wick films, joins Mel Gibson in the three-night special-event TV series, produced by Lionsgate Television.

If there’s one franchise that seems to be universally beloved amongst action fans right now, it’s Chad Stahelski’s “John Wick.” Partially, people just love Keanu Reeves, who is carrying the load in the franchise, but also it’s because the action is so amazing and interesting, you could watch John Wick murder guys for two hours with no problems. But now, the “John Wick” franchise is spinning off and without Reeves, there’s a new star in the cast—Mel Gibson.
