Cole Palmer is 'looking forward' to welcoming Manchester City to Stamford Bridge on Sunday in what will be his first game against his former club since joining Chelsea.
Palmer's deadline-day exit from City came as a huge surprise, following the acceptance of a £42.5million deal with Chelsea. There were no plans to sell the 21-year-old, particularly so late in the window, but the offer coming from London was one that could not be refused by the club.
Since arriving at Stamford Bridge, Palmer has been able to get the consistent minutes he craved, registering three goals and four assists in 10 appearances across all competitions. On Sunday, he will likely start against his former side when City head south for a crucial Premier League clash.

"It's another big game against a great side," Palmer told The Evening Standard. "A side that I spent nearly all of my life at so far. It's going to be a good game… I'm looking forward to it."
Palmer's decision to leave City, the club with whom he began at under-eight level, was seen as a huge risk. The departure of Riyad Mahrez to Saudi Arabia had potentially opened up a spot on the right in which the England under-21 international could play more regularly.
He scored twice for City in the opening weeks of the season, netting in the Community Shield and UEFA Super Cup, but opted for a chance of scene. And that decision is paying off on a personal level.
