Brendan Park twice dragged the screaming woman back into her Edinburgh home after she managed to escape.
The 23-year-old assaulted the victim and locked her inside the address where she made desperate calls for help.
When police arrived to rescue her, Park left a constable squashed by the front door after he fought to block their entry.
Park appeared at the city’s sheriff court on Thursday and pled guilty to assault and abducting the woman on September 30 last year by locking her in the property and refusing to let her leave.
He also admitted resisting, obstructing or hindering four officers and struggling violently with them.

Ms Chisholm said the victim arrived home at 7.30am after a night shift and found she was locked out her house.
The court heard when Park finally opened the door an argument started between the couple with the woman “annoyed” that her boyfriend had “not gone to work and had instead been out consuming alcohol and drugs”.
Ms Chisholm said the woman went to another room but could see Park was “getting angry” and he “accused her of not loving him”.
She said Park struck his partner on the chest with the palm of his hand and she fell onto a bed where he “straddled her”.
