A Scot has captured a magical image of a stag seemingly posing for the picture – against the backdrop of one of Scotland's most iconic mountains.
Early riser Christopher Sgian, 37, was stunned to spot the majestic stag just chilling in the foreground as the sun was coming up over Etive Mor in the Highlands.
Parked in the carpark at the Kinghouse Hotel, Glencoe, the Edinburgh-based snapper was out and about at 5am when he spotted the stag waking up from a snooze.
Chris said the peaceful stag was happy to pose for the 'perfect picture' – which is posed so perfectly it almost looks photoshopped.

Bar owner Chris said: "I go up to the Highlands three of four times a month to escape from the city.
"I got up there for 5am and was just waiting for sunrise when I saw the stag lying down, just starting to wake up from a sleep.
"The stag, the red sky coming up and the mountain in the background just made it all look so perfect and a great opportunity to get a picture.
"I am not used to seeing deer lying down or being that still. That area can be quite populated with tourists and people feeding the deer, but I think this stag was happy I was the only one there.
"He was very content and seemed happy to just lie posing for the picture."
