Authorities in Ohio released additional footage Thursday showing other Columbus police officers responding after the fatal shooting of Andre Hill during which several minutes passed without first aid being administered.  Adam Coy, the officer who shot an unarmed Hill on Dec. 22, was fired Monday from the Columbus Division of Police.

Bolton Mountain Rescue volunteers were drafted in to help with the search into the early hours, in the area of Rivington Moor and Wilder's Moor.

A Southern Califonia police officer was wounded Tuesday afternoon while attempting to arrest a homicide suspect, who later died in an exchange of gunfire, authorities said. Officials in Columbus, Ohio released police body camera footage that shows the fatal shooting of a 47-year-old man holding a cell phone, the second shooting in the area of a Black man by authorities this month.  The video shows the deadly encounter between police and Andre Hill, who was shot seconds after an officer found him emerging from a garage early Tuesday morning. Police initially responded to the area around 1:30 a.m.

Authorities in the San Francisco Bay Area were investigating a possible shooting Saturday evening at a shopping mall outside San Jose. A surge in cases of the novel coronavirus prompted San Francisco officials on Thursday to mandate that anyone traveling to the city from outside the Bay Area to quarantine for a period of time.  The 10-day quarantine will apply to anyone "traveling, moving, or returning to San Francisco from anywhere outside the Bay Area," according to city officials.  The news comes after the Bay Area’s ICU capacity fell below 15%, triggering the State of California’s Regional Stay Home order on Wednesday.
