Two Capitol Police officers have been suspended for their actions during last week's riots inside the U.S. Capitol building and several more are under investigation, Rep.Tim Ryan, D-Ohio, said Monday.  Another person was also arrested, Ryan told reporters during a virtual news conference, but said he was not sure if that person was a Capitol Police employee or a National Guard soldier who worked for the Capitol Police.

The Minneapolis Police Department on Thursday released body camera footage of the shooting death of Dolal Idd, the first police killing since George Floyd died during an encounter with officers in May.  Idd's father, Bayle Gelle, of Eden Prairie, identified his 23-year-old son as the man shot Wednesday evening at a gas station during a traffic stop for a felony warrant, the Star Tribune reported.  Police Chief Medaria Arradondo said witnesses reported the Idd fired first.

Attorney Ben Crump welcomed news Wednesday that two Louisville, Ky., police officers will most likely be terminated from the force over their roles in the death of Breonna Taylor. Detectives Myles Cosgrove and Joshua Jaynes were both recently served with termination paperwork over the botched March 13 drug raid on Taylor's apartment.The FBI concluded Cosgrove fired the shot that killed Taylor.

Tristan Thompson has put his Ohio home on the market for $3.25 million after leaving Cleveland to play for the Boston Celtics.The Canadian athlete, 29, purchased the Bratenahl residence in 2015 for $1.9 million. Built in 2008, the home is within a gated community and is situated along the shores of Lake Erie.According to the listing, the luxury waterfront property has five bedrooms and seven bathrooms.

Despite reported suspicions last year that the suspect in the Nashville Christmas Day bombing was making explosives, officials on Wednesday said they found no evidence at the time to warrant a search of his home or recreational vehicle.  Nashville police were called to a home on Aug. 21, 2019, over reports of a woman threatening to kill herself, police Chief John Drake told reporters.

A Southern Califonia police officer was wounded Tuesday afternoon while attempting to arrest a homicide suspect, who later died in an exchange of gunfire, authorities said. The female officer, who was not identified, was expected to recover, San Bernardino police Chief Eric McBride told the San Bernardino Sun.

A Columbus, Ohio law enforcement officer who shot and killed an unarmed Black man seconds after their encounter was fired, officials said Monday. A hearing was held Monday to determine whether Adam Coy should be fired because of the Dec.
