Fans of hit TV show Peaky Blinders are in for a treat as Netflix have confirmed a movie is in the works.
Taking to Twitter (X), Netflix shared a picture of a script titled 'A Peaky Blinders film' - with it confirmed Cillian Murphy would be reprising his role as Tommy Shelby.
The streaming giant captioned the exciting snap: "BIG NEWS: A Peaky Blinders film is coming to Netflix!" The account then added: "A few words from Cillian Murphy: 'It seems like Tommy Shelby wasn't finished with me... It is very gratifying to be recollaborating with Steven Knight and Tom Harper on the film version of Peaky Blinders.
This is one for the fans'".
Oscar-winning actor Cillian has received critical acclaim for his portrayal of the intense gangster in the popular BBC series, which wrapped up its six-season run in 2022. Now, fans are buzzing with the news that he will continue to rule as the head of the Shelby family in the forthcoming film adaptation.
"ITS HAPPENING OMG STAY CALM," one thrilled fan posted online as Netflix announced the news. "Going to be screaming about this for weeks actually," another chimed in.

And fans hopefully shouldn't have to wait to long for it to hit screens as it's been rumoured that production on the as-yet-untitled feature film will get underway later this year.
