A Chicago woman has been charged in the brutal killing of her landlord, who was found dismembered in a freezer, after she was served with an eviction notice, authorities said.  Sandra Kolalou, 36, is charged with first-degree murder and concealment of a homicide in the death of 69-year-old Frances Walker. Tenants inside the home where Francis rented rooms to people told police they heard screams around 2:30 p.m.

Chicago Med is losing one of it’s doctors as Brian Tee prepares to step back from his role as Dr. Ethan Choi.

Emily Longeretta “Chicago Med” is losing another doctor. Brian Tee, who portrays Dr. Ethan Choi, will exit the Dick Wolf series after eight seasons on the show, Variety confirms. His last episode will be episode 9, “Could Be The Start Of Something New,” airing December 7. Additionally, Tee will return for episode 16 to make his directorial debut. Tee has starred on the NBC medical drama since the series’ 2015 debut. While he has appeared in 131 episodes, he was absent for much of the seventh season as he filmed “Expats,” an upcoming series for Amazon Prime Video. In the Season 8 premiere, Ethan is dealing with the death of his father when he reunites with his ex April (Yaya DaCosta), who left the show at the end of Season 6.

Hulu is now searching for a new director and star for its upcoming limited series The Devil In The White City. Director Todd Field is the latest to depart the project, sources confirmed to Deadline. Hulu declined comment.

Keanu Reeves has exited Hulu’s limited series The Devil In The White City, sources close to the project have confirmed to Deadline.

A man free on bond for attempted murder and drug charges allegedly shot and killed two men last month in Chicago, prosecutors said this week.  Absalom Coakley, 29, allegedly fired a single shot with a .40-caliber handgun, striking 29-year-old Terrance Johnson Jr. in the back of the head in the early morning hours of Sept. 25 during a "video shoot party." Around 50 people were in attendance, according to a court complaint obtained by Fox News.

Jesse Lee Soffer appeared in his final episode of NBC’s “Chicago P.D.” on Wednesday night. After another hour of shutting out his wife and partner, Hailey Upton (Tracy Spiridakos), Jay finally realized that he had changed — and not for the better. During a case that involved saving the reputation of an Army vet who had assisted in a robbery, Jay went around the law (once again) to take down the robbers. He didn’t turn in the vet, who ultimately died saving another woman, in order to protect the man’s family and reputation. However, knowing that he’d broken the law once again — and stabbed a man in the process — Jay chose to resign from Intelligence.

Till’s name adorns this year’s overdue federal antilynching act, and his tragic fate has inspired plays and films, including 2018’s Oscar-nominated short, “My Nephew Emmett,” and now a powerful new feature from Chinonye Chukwu, who gave Alfre Woodard one of her greatest roles in 2019 Sundance winner “Clemency.” Till’s story — that of a 14-year-old Black boy from Chicago who was kidnapped in the middle of the night and lynched while visiting his family in Mississippi — may have been omitted from my Southern schooling for racist reasons, though I suspect it had as much to do with Western culture’s “great man” bias. But Emmett Till was a kid whose murder galvanized the American civil rights movement, and it has taken a different kind of thinking — à la “Say Their Names” campaign or Ryan Coogler’s “Fruitvale Station” — to position victims in the public’s mind.
