EXCLUSIVE: After four seasons starring as Blake Gallo, Alberto Rosende is set to exit from Chicago Fire following a final appearance in the Season 12 premiere, Deadline has learned. Sources say his departure from the Wolf Entertainment/Universal Television drama was fully amicable.
Rosende debuted on the hit NBC series in the second episode of Season 8 titled, “A Real Shot In The Arm,” as a reckless new candidate for Firehouse 51 who impressed, yet frustrated his colleagues. He was initially cast in a recurring capacity but was upped to regular in 2019, as Deadline reported exclusively.
Kara Killmer, who played Sylvie Brett since the show’s premiere, is also set to leave the Chicago Fire in Season 12. And although fans will see two fan favorites move on, they can count on the return of Taylor Kinney, who returns next season following a leave of absence.
Elsewhere on One Chicago, things are also shaking up. Tracy Spiridakos will say goodbye to her character Detective Hailey Upton Halstead in the upcoming 11th season of Chicago P.D. On Chicago Med, Deadline exclusively announced today the addition of Luke Mitchell to the Season 9 cast.
In addition to his work on Chicago Fire, Rosende is best known for his portrayal of Simon Lewis in the Freeform series Shadowhunters. Additional credits include CBS’s Blue Bloods and NBC’s Law & Order: SVU.
