EXCLUSIVE: Crazy Rich Asians-backer Peter Luo’s Stars Collective has signed Google engineer-turned-viral-YouTuber Jonathan Ma aka Joma to a managing, development and production deal, and he has set first project: a dark comedy/drama about the birth of Bitcoin and the true identity of mysterious founder Satoshi.

Besides breaking barriers in the music world, Stark has also been credited for championing social change across gender, race, language and class starting in the 1940’s. Aisling Walsh, the Irish-born helmer of “Maudie” and BAFTA-winning “Elizabeth Is Missing” will direct the film, based on an original screenplay by Celeste Parr (“Gurov and Anna”).

Top TV producer Kaplan, prominent media investor Sagansky, Sloan and SK Global (via Ivanhoe Pictures) previously partnered in a Mumbai-based venture that produces hit Hindi-language Netflix series Delhi Crime, which won the International Emmy Award for Best Drama Series and returns for a second season on the streamer later this year.
