Chanel whisks stars including Kristen Stewart and Jenna Coleman to Salford Lads Club for pre-show party

Fashion giant Chanel booked out one of Salford's most iconic landmarks to host a star-studded party in Manchester ahead of its eagerly anticipated fashion show.
Salford Lads Club, famous for its links to Manchester band The Smiths, was packed with VIP guests and Hollywood stars on Wednesday night. That included film star Kristen Stewart, Dr Who star Jenna Coleman and Salford bard John Cooper Clarke.
Guests assembled ahead of the main event - Chanel's Métiers d’art show - taking place in the Northern Quarter on Thursday night.

Twilight star Kristen wore a grey checked Chanel coat over a casual t-shirt and jeans to head to the event. She wore her dark hair pulled back, and was joined by her girlfriend, screenwriter Dylan Meyer, at Salford Lads Club.
Also in attendance was Dr Who and The Serpent actress, Jenna Coleman. She wore a stylish black fitted jacket teamed with jeans and heels, completed with a classic Chanel handbag
Stars walked the REAL Coronation Street to attend the party, as the club is located at the far end of the same-named street in Salford.
It is understood guests were given a talk on Manchester's music history inside Salford Lad's Club. The venue has become a famous site for Smiths fans to head from around the world.
It was famously used in the artwork for The Smiths' seminal album The Queen is Dead, with the band posing up outside. It has led to fans recreating the pose time and again outside the youth club.
