This winter, join Manchester’s symphony orchestra, the Hallé, for a cracker of a Christmas - with concerts to suit all ages at The Bridgewater Hall.

The Hallé’s Christmas season begins on Saturday, December 9, with its annual performance of Handel’s Messiah featuring the Hallé Choir and a world-class cast of soloists.
On Saturday, December 16 and Sunday, December 17, you can join the Hallé and its family of choirs for heart-warming, traditional Carol Concerts suitable for all generations.
Little ones will be entertained with the Hallé’s much-loved Christmas Family Concert presented by Tom Redmond on Sunday, December 3.
Snuggle up to the magic of Raymond Briggs’ classic film, The Snowman, accompanied by Howard Blake’s spectacular score. There are three performances to choose from on Friday and Saturday December 22-23.
The Hallé’s Christmas Cracker on Friday, December 15, includes the most popular Christmas songs performed by the orchestra and two outstanding vocalists, Oliver Tompsett and Katie Birtill. The programme includes All I Want For Christmas, Santa Baby, Last Christmas, White Christmas, Jingle Bells and Winter Wonderland to name but a few.
After Christmas, get ready for a marvellous night of movie music with A Night at the Oscars on Friday, December 29. The setlist includes music with songs and themes from Oscar-winning films including music from West Side Story, The Joker, E.T., Ben Hur, Lion King, Star Wars, Slumdog Millionaire, Lawrence of Arabia, Greatest Showman, Schindler’s List and The Incredibles.
On Saturday, December 30, get back to the world of boy bands, girl power, Britpop and ballads with Best of the ‘90s performed by top vocalists and the full forces of the
