After Colson Smith was reduced to tears on Celebrity Big Brother, his Coronation Street co-stars Jack P. Shepherd and Ben Price have shared their support for him. Jack and Ben appeared on Good Morning Britain to talk about Colson's stint in the house and threw their support behind him.
Colson, 25, was left in tears during Wednesday's (13 March) episode of CBB after fellow housemate Levi Roots named him as the 'most boring' housemate.
The 65 year old said: "Pre yesterday… I would have said it would have been Colson." The Corrie star was taken aback by the remark and quickly exited the living room. He headed to the toilet, where he could be heard crying. Colson late chatted to Big Brother in Diary Room and struggled to hold in his emotions.
The emotional scenes were discussed on GMB on Thursday, 14 March, with both Jack, 36, and Ben, 51, being guests on the ITV show.
The Corrie actors weighed in on Levi's comment and defended Colson. Host Susanna Reid asked: "Firstly, is he boring?" to which Ben and Jack both said "no" in unison. Ben added: "We're his mates, but it's different in a house like that.
Everything becomes a bit more heightened. But he went off to have his little moment. It obviously got to him." Jack then weighed in, revealing he thinks being in the Big Brother house added to Colson's emotional moment.
