Celebrity Big Brother viewers have hilariously announced that they are 'gutted' Kate Middleton wasn't in the audience to support her uncle Gary Goldsmith after he became the first celebrity evicted on Friday. During the first live eviction of the series on March 8, presenters AJ Odudu and Will Best confirmed that Gary's time in the house was up and Gary reacted with a four-word response that showed he understood his fate.
Royal relative Gary quipped: "Well, we knew that". But fans have since taken to social media to express how disappointed they were that Princess Kate, who is currently recovering from abdominal surgery, failed to appear in the crowds or alongside his family during his interview on Big Brother: Late and Live.
After being evicted, Gary, 59, was taken to the studio for an interview on Big Brother: Late and Live, where he was surrounded by a studio audience as well as some members of his family. His wife Julianne and daughter Tallulah - the Princess of Wales's first cousin - were there to support him after being evicted from the house.
Addressing his many references to the Royal Family he made during his time in the house, he said: "People were asking me a lot of questions specifically about that because they didn’t know what to ask me. And I did volunteer it a lot." His family then appeared on-camera and eagle-eyed viewers rushed to X, formerly known as Twitter, to joke about how the Princess could have made a surprising appearance in the audience.
One user sarcastically shared: "So Kate’s a no show, you’d think she’d show up to late and live at least." Another added: "Imagine if the young lady over there was Kate Middleton. Would've been iconic." Others demanded to know where Kate was as they shared
