Boris Johnson's wife Carrie has given birth to a baby boy, Frank Alfred Odysseus, and said she's "smitten". In an Instagram post she said Frank, who also goes by the sweet nickname Frankie, was born on 5 July at 9.15am and asked, "Can you guess which name my husband chose?" She also told how she was "loving every minute of the sleepy baby bubble.
Seeing my older two embrace their new brother with such joy and excitement has been the most wonderful thing to see. We are all very smitten." She went on to thank the NHS maternity team and then joked: "Now, can anyone recommend any good series/box sets to binge while breastfeeding? Time for a drink." Carrie shared a series of photographs capturing precious moments with their newborn son.The images include Carrie cradling the baby in her arms and their eldest son, Wilfred, gently tending to his baby brother.
Carrie already shares Wilfred and daughter Romy with husband Boris, while the former prime minister has five other children. The announcement of Carrie's third pregnancy was made in May of this year, as she captioned an Instagram post: “New team member arriving in just a few weeks. I’ve felt pretty exhausted for much of the last eight months but we can’t wait to meet this little one.
“Wilf is v excited about being a big brother again and has been chattering about it non-stop. Don’t think Romy has a clue what’s coming...
she soon will!” The arrival of their third child holds particular significance for Carrie, as she had previously spoken openly about the heartbreaking experience of a miscarriage. In 2021, before the birth of their daughter Romy, Carrie shared her loss and described Romy as a "rainbow baby." This term is used to refer to a child born after the loss of a baby
