80s movie legend Cindy Morgan, who famously shot to fame in Caddyshack and Tron, has sadly passed away at the age of 69, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s office confirmed on Saturday. At this time, no further details have been confirmed about when her death took place, nor has her cause of death been revealed, reports TMZ. Following the sad news of her death, countless tributes have poured in from famous faces and fans alike, with many sharing their grief on social media.
“Cindy Morgan was fun & funny and interviewing her was one of the great highlights of my career. I don’t have a lot of words right now. R.I.P,” wrote one heartbroken fan.
A second echoed the sentiment adding: “Very, very sad to learn that @CindyMorgan_ has passed, far too young. She was as much of a joy here as she was on the screen.” Before a third commented simply: “Very sad about Cindy Morgan. She was so so good in Caddyshack! May she RIP.
” Cindy was best know for her stunning appearance in Caddyshack back in 1980, when she first shot to fame playing bombshell Lacey Underall in what widely became regarded as her breakout role alongside Chevy Chase and Bill Murray. Reflecting on the role that propelled to stardom, back in 2012 Cindy explained: “Caddyshack was my first film and I'll say that the end product was so completely different, it was originally about the caddies. “So at first, I had nothing to lose to audition.
It was fun. All I did was focus on making the person sweat. Look 'em in the eye, do that thing many women know how to …" In addition, she was also widely known for starring as Lora in the 1982 sci-fi classic Tron, a computer programmer in the "real" world, as well as portraying her cyber alter-ego Yori.
