Manchester United attacking-midfielder Bruno Fernandes has reflected positively on his first two years at Old Trafford following his big-money move from Sporting Lisbon.
The Portugal international, who has scored seven times in the Premier League this season, joined United in the latter stages of the 2020 January transfer window, penning a five-and-a-half year deal.
Although Fernandes has not yet won a trophy at Old Trafford, he has proven to be a roaring success, scoring 47 goals and claiming 36 assists in all competitions, including 28 strikes last season.
Determined to continue going from strength-to-strength at United, Fernandes has reflected on his first two years at the club, insisting it has been a "good" period.
"Yes, it been quick," Fernandes told United's club website, reflecting on his first two years at Old Trafford. "I think, obviously, for the time that we are having at the moment, with the Covid and everything, time flies a little bit more because we don't spend a lot of time out of the home.
"So it's come quick but honestly it’s been two good years."
Fernandes completed his move to United just over a month before the UK felt the full force of the coronavirus pandemic, which forced everyone to put their daily lives on hold and football to be sent into shutdown mode, quickly derailing Fernandes fast start to life in England.
Although football did return in June, supporters, of course, were unable to attend matches, meaning Fernandes and every other player had to familiarise themselves with playing in empty stadiums.
Asked if being unable to play in front of the United supporters for a long period of time was disappointing, he continued: "No because, for me, the dream was to come to the Premier League
