As the 5th annual UK Americana Awards kicks off tomorrow night in London, Bruce Springsteen’s Western Stars is revealed by the Official Charts Company as the UK’s biggest Americana album of the year, while Van Morrison lands the most popular home-grown Americana release of 2019.

Though she’s mostly kept a low profile since the March 2019 death of her longtime partner, Grammy-winning rapper-activist Nipsey Hussle, film and television actor Lauren London recently inked a $1.7 million off-market deal for a fresh residential start in the form of a charming L.A. cottage. The updated Spanish-style structure, originally built in 1949, is tucked away behind walls and gates in the leafy and increasingly desirable San Fernando Valley community of Sherman Oaks.

Bruce Springsteen brought back an Asbury Park tradition on Saturday night, taking the stage at the Paramount Theater for the big finale of Light of Day’s Winterfest. It had been five years since the “real governor of New Jersey,” as Springsteen was introduced, attended the annual event, a week-long musical celebration which raises money to fight Parkinson’s Disease and other related illnesses.
