Manchester City were still waiting for a confirmed diagnosis on Jack Grealish's muscle injury on the eve of their clash with Chelsea - because a machine was broken in the medical department.
Pep Guardiola confirmed that Grealish will miss the visit of Chelsea after picking up a muscle injury at Copenhagen this week, but City did not know how long he will be out due to delays in assessing the state of the problem.
A broken machine meant that Guardiola was unaware of Grealish's expected time on the sidelines, adding that he would find out on Friday. The manager also confirmed that Bernardo Silva, Mateo Kovacic and Sergio Gomez would be assessed on Friday, with Josko Gvardiol definitely ruled out.

"He's injured and has a muscular issue. How big is the damage, I don't know," Guardiola said. "When we arrive the day after [Copenhagen] they could not do it because the machine was broken. We had one day off, it was my day off and I was so concerned with Chelsea, I didn't speak to the doctor. When I arrive back from this press conference [on Friday] I will ask him."
Guardiola also cleared up his apparent frustration with Grealish when the number 10 tried to play on in Denmark despite clearly going down with the muscle problem around the 20-minute mark. Grealish did hobble back on while substitute Jeremy Doku got ready, but ultimately couldn't continue, with Guardiola looking annoyed at the decision from his £100m man.
"He wanted to play. At the end I said ‘did you feel something muscular? If you play the damage will be bigger’," Guardiola
