to be quite so relatable.
Back in 2013, Spears said on that her first kiss ever was with Timberlake, and now we know exactly how it happened.
In her forthcoming, long-awaited memoir The Woman in Me, Spears says her first kiss with Timberlake was during their Mickey Mouse Club days, at a sleepover, during a game of Truth or Dare.
Who among us, etc.“I quickly connected with a boy named Justin Timberlake,” Spears wrote in an excerpt published in .
“[Once] at a sleepover, we played Truth or Dare, and someone dared Justin to kiss me.
A Janet Jackson song was playing in the background as he leaned in and kissed me.” I have so many more questions.
Who asked the dare? Where was this slumber party hosted? What we do know is that Spears left the Mickey Mouse Club after this for a return to normal teenage life for a while, “or the closest thing to ‘normal’ that was possible in my family,” she writes.
It wasn't until Spears got back into the entertainment industry years later that she and Timberlake got together for real—and we all know how that ended.“Over the past 15 years or even at the start of my career, I sat back while people spoke about me and told my story for me,” said in her interview with People.
“After getting out of my conservatorship, I was finally free to tell my story without consequences from the people in charge of my life.”The Woman in Me hits shelves October 24.
