British Soap Awards 2022: when is it, full list of nominees and can you still vote

After a two-year absence due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the British Soap Awards will return for 2022 on ITV. The usual annual event sees the UK’s biggest soaps compete against each other to bag the night’s variety of awards.
Live on ITV and the ITV Hub, host Phillip Schofield returns to roll out the red carpet for actors and actresses representing Coronation Street, EastEnders, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Doctors. It is the pinnacle of awards for the TV genre, and is an event eagerly anticipated by soap lovers.

This year’s ceremony will air on Saturday 11 June, at 8pm. The two-hour programme will take place at The Hackney Empire in London and will be shown live on ITV.
On top of this list of categories, the winners of the prestigious Outstanding Achievement Award and The Tony Warren Award will be announced on the night. This year will also see the awards be made gender-neutral for the first time, which means that awards will include all genders, such as the Best Leading Performer category.
