After weeks of anxious waiting, Britain’s Got Talent officially has a return date, with ITV confirming that the 17th series of the iconic talent show will be hitting our screens in just two weeks time. The popular show will be making it’s return debut on Saturday 20 April at 7:30pm on ITV, and will see another batch of talented individuals hoping to impress the show’s judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli to secure their place in the live finals.

And if that wasn’t enough to whet your appetite, this year has also been confirmed to be a “record-breaking” year for the show, with a whopping nine acts in total having earned the coveted golden buzzer and secured their place in the finals after just one audition! So far, in Britain’s Got Talent history, only one golden buzzer act has ever won the show, and that was Ant & Dec’s choice, Jon Courtenay back in 2020, who delighted viewers at home with his piano playing skills and witty song-writing. Can this year’s buzzer recipients repeat his success? Last year the show was infamously won by Norwegian comedian Viggo Venn, who beat some stiff competition from 10 other acts, including second place winner Lillianna Clifton and magician Cillian
