Britain's biggest family, the Radfords, who have a whopping 22 children, have shown off their amazing new garden bar just in time for warmer weather. The seemingly-forever expanding family built their bar at home from scratch in just three days during the pandemic in 2020. After two years, the turquoise paint was fading, so the family gave it a lick of paint in teal, to keep it looking fresh and new. Noel and Sue Radford, who shot to fame on their Channel 5 show, 22 Kids and Counting, bought all the timber, paint and tools necessary for their garden project from DIY store Wickes.
Revealing the bar's new look, Sue shared two snaps of the newly painted garden bar on Instagram, writing: "Gave the bar a lick of paint today. It looks loads better." The bar, which is fully-stocked ready for alfresco drinks, could easily be mistaken for a professional job. But there's no missing the a plaque dedicated to their programme, which takes pride of place at the front of the bar.
On the family's YouTube channel, Chloe Radford revealed she had gotten the idea for the garden bar through Facebook, and enlisted dad Noel and brother James, to help make the dream a reality. The family hinted at their big project on their YouTube channel, before the grand reveal. The bar accessories were all sourced by Noel, who collected beer mats and bar towels as a child. He was also happy to encourage others to give it a go, despite their own bar having a few hiccups along the way.
