Police have made an arrest following a 'stabbing' outside a swimming baths. Officers were called out to a reported stabbing in the car park of Irlam and Cadishead Leisure Centre, in Irlam, Salford, at around 6.15am today (December 9).
Greater Manchester Police says officers attended the scene, on Liverpool Road, and discovered a male victim had suffered a cut to his leg. He was taken to hospital, where he has been treated for injuries described as 'superficial'.
Officers arrested another male at the scene on suspicion of assault. He remains in custody for questioning this afternoon. Ages of the pair are yet to be confirmed.

Eyewitnesses reported seeing an area outside Irlam Leisure Centre taped off earlier this morning. It's understood the facility was closed until 11am this morning, when staff confirmed it had reopened.
In a statement, GMP described the incident as 'isolated' and is moving to reassure members of the public.
"At approximately 6.15am on Saturday 9 December 2023, police attended a report of a stabbing that occurred in the car park of Irlam Leisure Centre, Liverpool Road," the force said.
"On arrival officers found the male victim with a cut to his leg and he has been treated at hospital for superficial injuries. Another male was arrested at the scene on suspicion of assault and remains in custody for questioning."
Sgt Paul Mottram, of GMP's Eccles Neighbourhood Policing Team, added: "CID is now leading the ongoing investigation and will continue their enquiries throughout the day.
