A 'beautiful' young mum who was diagnosed with cancer just months after giving birth to her daughter has died.

A man was taken to hospital in a serious condition following an assault in north Manchester this afternoon.
The incident happened on Riverdale Road in Blackley at 2.35pm on Friday.
A man in his 20s is reported to have been attacked with an axe in the street.

A hunt for the attacker was continuing tonight. As yet no suspects have been arrested. Witnesses reported an axe was used in the attack, however this has not been officially confirmed.
Pictures from the scene showed police and an ambulance crew on Riverdale Road on Friday afternoon. The road was closed for a brief period.
A spokeswoman for Greater Manchester Police said: "At around 2.35pm today (11 March) police were called to a report that a man had been assaulted on Riverdale Road, Manchester.
"Officers attended and a man in his 20s was located with a slash wound to his ankle and was taken to hospital. Enquiries are ongoing to locate the offender."
The spokeswoman added that the victim remained in hospital in a serious condition.
