Two men are in hospital in a serious condition after a BMW smashed into a building during a police chase.
Greater Manchester Police said the BMW failed to stop for officers on Rochdale Road East in Heywood at around 11.45pm last night. Police then pursed the car for a short time before it crashed on the same road.
Two men - aged 18 and 27 - were treated at the scene by officers and paramedics. They were rushed to hospital and remain there in a serious condition.

The incident has now been referred to the police watchdog. Any witnesses are being urged to come forward.
The Manchester Evening News understands the BMW smashed into the shutters outside the Fleet Grafix store. Pictures taken at the scene this morning showed damage to the front of the shop.
Debris from the crash could be seen strewn across the road. Rochdale Road East, where the road meets York Street, was shut off by police for several hours. The road was closed between the White Lion pub and Green Lane. Transport bosses confirmed the road was reopened at around 9am this morning.
In a statement, a GMP spokesperson said: "A BMW failed to stop for police on Rochdale Road East, Heywood, at about 11:45pm on Sunday 20 March 2022.
"A short pursuit took place and the BMW crashed into a building on Rochdale Road East.
"Two men - aged 27 and 18 - were treated at the scene by police officers and then by paramedics. Both males are in a serious condition in hospital.
"The incident has been referred to the Independent Office for Police Conduct.
