Boy, 4, fighting for life after being pulled from blaze by hero dad who tragically died

A four-year-old boy is fighting for his life after being pulled from a horror house fire that killed his dad. Most of Ethan Mason's body is covered in burns after he was hauled from the early hours blaze in Wigan at the weekend.
Emergency services raced to a house in Warrington Road around 2.30am on Sunday. The youngster was rescued from the flames by his hero dad, who tragically died after rushing back to save Ethan.
Ethan is currently in an induced coma, with burns to 70 per cent of his body. Five others were injured in the devastating blaze, Liverpool ECHO reports.
Ethan's aunt Jessica has launched a GoFundMe page to support the family. And in a heartbreaking message on the online fundraiser, she revealed that Ethan only has around a 10 per cent chance of pulling through, after medics carried out an emergency operation to try and save him.
Jessica said: "These next few days are crucial and he only now has around a 10 per cent chance of getting through this. We are all absolutely heartbroken, but my sister and her other children have lost absolutely everything.
"I have set up this GoFundMe to not only help with funeral costs but to help with clothing and other necessities for her other babies, and to help with the financial burden my sister will have to cope with on top of losing her husband and having her baby in hospital for god knows how long."
Police have launched a probe into the cause of the inferno. Chief Superintendent Clare Jenkins of GMP's Wigan district said in a statement on Sunday: "Our thoughts are with the family involved in this incident who are currently receiving treatment for their injuries and also grieving a tragic loss.
