Prosecutors handling the Minneapolis case involving four former police officers charged in the death of George Floyd have asked that the trial be delayed by three months, citing coronavirus concerns, according to a report. In a recently filed court motion, prosecutors cited the COVID-19 pandemic and the amount of time needed before enough people are vaccinated and health risks are sufficiently diminished as their reason for the request, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reported.

After two decades as the Dixie Chicks, Natalie Maines, Emily Strayer, and Martie Maguire removed the “Dixie” in 2020, renaming themselves the Chicks.

Attorney Ben Crump welcomed news Wednesday that two Louisville, Ky., police officers will most likely be terminated from the force over their roles in the death of Breonna Taylor. Detectives Myles Cosgrove and Joshua Jaynes were both recently served with termination paperwork over the botched March 13 drug raid on Taylor's apartment.The FBI concluded Cosgrove fired the shot that killed Taylor.
