Aidan Roche's body has been discovered by police in Switzerland, according to family members.
The solo hiker, who grew up in Longlands, Middlesbrough, lost contact on June 22 while he was hiking in the Grindelwald area of Switzerland - only two days before he was due to return to the UK. A search was launched by authorities, with friends and family issuing desperate pleas for his safe return.
However, a tragic update on Sunday from Aiden's older brother, Connor, confirmed that police found Aidan near the trail he was walking last week. He thanked all those who helped and donated, stating that the support showed "how loved Aidan was", Teesside Live reports.

Swiss police and mountain rescue halted their search efforts earlier this year after they "exhausted every option" without receiving any new evidence. In response, his 'extremely worried' family and friends launched a GoFundMe campaign in hopes that funds would generate new leads.
Loving tributes have since been paid to the Middlesbrough man on Facebook. One person said: "I'm so very sorry for your loss. My heartfelt condolences to all of Aidan's Family and Friends, at this most heartbreaking of times."
