A biker has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries following a crash in Tyldesley.
Witnesses say the incident happened near the Century City chip shop on Shuttle Street at around 4pm.
Police confirmed the rider has suffered serious injuries and has since been taken to hospital.
The road has been closed from Henry Street to Primrose Street and police and paramedics are currently at the scene.
An air ambulance was also seen landing nearby the crash.

Emergency services raced to Springburn Road around 5.45am on Wednesday to reports of a one vehicle smash.The male and female within the car were taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment.The extent of their injuries are not yet known.Officers closed the road to allow for vehicle recovery and were in the process of reopening it around 8am.
