Britain’s Got Talent viewers have called out the show for reaching an “all time low” after Simon Cowell demanded that act Ranger Chris and his dancing dinosaurs win in the final. Fans immediately condemned the judge for making the statement after the act’s bizarre performance on Tuesday’s live semi final episode, which saw the ranger get up and dance in between two giant dinosaur figures onstage.
Simon had fought for Ranger Chris and his reptile friends to be included in the semi final — going against the agreement of his fellow panellists. The 62 year old continued to show support for his championed act as he said following the performance: “A dinosaur has never won Britain's Got Talent ever. That might change after tonight." He continued: “And let me tell you, I had the biggest argument with these three about putting these poor dinosaurs through to the final — as you can tell by the audience’s reaction…I was right!” Many fans were not impressed with the act all, with one writing: “This show has hit an all-time low." "Some people dancing in rubber dinosaur suits IS NOT F***ING TALENT,” a second person commented. A third said: “Simon would have buzzed this act now if this was five to ten years ago." "Is Britain really this talentless?" another former viewer questioned.
David Walliams, 50, didn’t see the appeal of Ranger Chris and his dinosaurs either, disagreeing with Simon as he commented: “I’m not quite sure what the talent is. You’ve got some friends who like dressing up as dinosaurs.” It appeared though that the studio audience agreed with Simon and liked the dinosaur act
