PJ Harvey has shared an update on the recording of her next studio album.In a new interview with Rolling Stone to discuss her new narrative poem novel Orlam, Harvey revealed that her upcoming album “took a long time to write to get right, but at least I feel very happy with it”.While it is currently unclear if the record has been finished, she shared with Rolling Stone that she is “very pleased with it” and that it is scheduled to release sometime in the summer next year.Talks of Harvey working on a new musical project first began in early February when the musician shared images of herself recording in a studio. The three images showed Harvey playing a guitar, fiddling with some guitar pedals, and sitting in front of a mic stand.Elsewhere in the interview, Harvey said she has recently been inspired by film soundtracks composed by the likes of Jonny Greenwood, Hildur Guðnadóttir and Ryuichi Sakamoto.When she’s not listening to film scores, Harvey has been exploring “Thom Yorke’s solo projects, but also his work with The Smile“.

Ozzy Osbourne has announced his new album ‘Patient Number 9’ with the release of its title track ahead of the record’s release this September.The album’s title track also features guitar work from Jeff Beck, who joins an A-list cast of musicians guest-starring on the track including Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Chad Smith, Metallica’s Robert Trujillo, Zakk Wylde, and producer Andrew Watt.A music video has also been released alongside the single that sees Ozzy portraying the titular patient, hunched over in what appears to be a room in a mental asylum before he falls into a comic-book-esque world of madness. Starcrawler have announced details of a new album called ‘She Said’ along with the release of a video for its title track – watch it below.The band’s first album for a major label will come out on September 16 via Big Machine, and follows the release of new single ‘Roadkill’ last month.The LA-based five-piece – comprising frontwoman Arrow De Wilde, guitarists Henri Cash and Bill Cash, drummer Seth Carolina and bassist Tim Franco – released their self-titled debut album in 2018, following it up the next year with ‘Devour You’.Speaking about the new song in a statement, De Wilde said: “’She Said’ was one of the first songs written for this album.
