Bernardo Silva has a £50million release clause in his contract but has no intention of leaving Manchester City in January, according to reports.
Silva's future at City has long been the subject of speculation and he has made no secret of his desire to seek a fresh challenge in the near future. The Portuguese midfielder once again attracted interest over the summer but decided instead to sign a new three-year deal in August.
Interest in Silva has remained during what has been another outstanding campaign for the 29-year-old and The Star reports that potential suitors could get their man for £50m. However, the report adds that neither he nor City are looking to sanction a deal in January and he will remain at the Etihad for the entire season, at the very least.
The clause is thought to benefit City as much as Silva himself, giving the club a fixed fee to accept instead of negotiating and potentially offloading for less money further down the line. Any move away from Manchester would almost certainly see the midfielder go overseas, with Barcelona long-time admirers.

Elsewhere, Football Insider reports that Fulham are open to selling Joao Palhinha in January but will demand between £50-60m.
