Fans of the hit competition were convinced they saw Bobby, 20, lean in for a kiss with the Australian dancer, 34, following their steamy Argentine tango performance to 'Sail' by American rock band Awolnation.
Their raunchy dance, which included a bold and daring performance for the pair requiring them to be incredibly intimate, saw them land in the middle of the leader board with a respectable 30 points out of 40 from the judging panel.
They appeared on Good Morning Britain on Tuesday morning to address the rumours of a kiss, as young acting star Bobby appeared via video link whilst travelling in a car due to sleeping in.
"Bobby what was going on?," pressed host Susanna Reid who was joined by co-host Ed Balls and Dianne Buswell on the couch who faced the music live in the studio alone.
Bobby, also addressing his low score from judge Craig-Revel Horwood compared to recent weeks, said: "Look I don't know. Craig knows more than I do. I think Strictly is way more than just about the scores, it's learning and telling the stories so I don't really mind.
Ed Balls said: "I remember getting three's from Craig, getting low scores by him does you no harm when it comes to the public vote," joked ITV host Ed as he recalled his stint on the show.
