Coronation Street's Beth Sutherland actress Lisa George has hit back at a social media user after they mistook her for another soap star. Lisa, 50, who has played Beth since 2011, enjoyed a night out with former co-star Katie McGlynn, who played Sinead Tinker on the cobbles until 2020.Taking to Instagram, Katie shared a radiant selfie and red carpet snap with Lisa at the Manchester Film Festival.

Glamour model Beth Morgan has landed a new TV job, after she was sacked from Coronation Street back in 2018 for "leaking stories." Beth appeared in the long-running ITV soap as an extra as part of a storyline which saw Bethany Plat (played by Lucy Fallon) become a lap dancer. She's now set to appear in a documentary for the same broadcaster, alongside former Love Island star Olivia Attwood, which will see Beth discuss her career as a glamour model.The docu-series will be in the same vein as Olivia's previous series Getting Filthy Rich, which told the stories of people who make their money selling sex online. Beth's previous stint on TV was cut short when she shared pictures of the set, and her outfit, before the episodes aired on TV.

Caroline Flack's mother Christine Flack has rejected the Metropolitan Police's apology after they were criticised for the way they handled the case of Caroline's death. Christine's daughter Caroline took her own life on February 15 in 2020 at the age of 40, following an incident with her boyfriend, Lewis Burton.The Met Police has been criticised for how they handled the case and has since apologised for not recording why the Love Island star had been charged.The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) had recommended the former presenter receive a caution following the incident.

The BBC has apologised after it was forced to pull several sports programmes following a boycott by presenters and pundits in support of Gary Lineker.The broadcaster said it would air only “limited sport programming” over the weekend and was “working hard to resolve the situation”.
