The new series will see a new generation of 16 “superhuman Gladiators” compete. The Gladiators include Team GB sprinter and Olympic bobsledder Montell Douglas and CrossFit champion Sheli McCoy.
They will take part in a series of games - including classic challenges like Duel and Hang Tough. The Eliminator – the gruelling obstacle course finale – will also be back.
The BBC series will see some new faces hosting the competition. Here's everything you need to know about the presenters and the commentator on the brand new reboot.
Father and son duo Bradley and Barney Walsh will be hosting the rebooted series.
TV legend Bradley is currently the host of ITV's The Chase and Blankety Blank and also presents the Royal Variety Performance. He has also had several acting roles, including in Coronation Street and Doctor Who. His son Barney has had roles in Casualty and Doctors.
The Walsh family are no strangers to Gladiators as Donna Walsh, Barney’s mum and Bradley’s wife, was head choreographer for the cheerleaders on the original series.
Back then, Bradley was a regular visitor onset alongside his young son, who took some of his first steps inside the iconic Gladiator arena.
