Dragon’s Den star Hilary Devey reportedly left no money in her will, despite having an estimated £80 million fortune. The businesswoman passed away aged 65 in June 2022 at her holiday home in Marrakesh, Morocco, after battling a long illness. Over 12 months after her death, the contents of Hilary's will has now been released and it appears that the TV star only left material objects for her loved ones, despite her huge fortune.
In Hilary's will, which she made in 2021, she left her diamond cross to pal Audrey Mulligan and her personal effects to her son, Mevlit Brewster-Ahmet, publicist and lawyer, who acted as trustees, reports The Daily Mail. Hilary's son, publicist and lawyer could distribute the effects the way Hilary had detailed in a letter written to them, it has been claimed.
The contents of the letter will not be made public. Hilary amassed her fortune launching multi-award winning pallet distribution network, Pall-Ex, in 1996.
She resigned from the company and her role of director in 2019. Speaking about her determination to succeed, Hilary previously said: "I didn't want my son to go without so I pushed myself hard to build a life for us. Fortunately, I was always good with numbers and I loved the cut and thrust of business." She was also heavily involved in charities, with one penny donated for every pallet distributed by Pall-Ex.
In 2013, she was appointed a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) in the Birthday Honours list for her services to the transport industry as well as her charity work.
