BBC Beyond Paradise fans all said the same thing just minutes into the new series. Humphrey Goodman, played by Kris Marshall, is back for a second series of the detective drama. DI Goodman and the team were thrown straight back into the deep end as they had to solve a murder on a steam train.
Humphrey and DS Esther Williams (Zahra Ahmadi) were aboard a vintage steam train having been recruited by Margo (Felicity Montagu) to perform in her production of a Shipton Abbott Players' murder-mystery play. But on the way out of a tunnel during their final rehearsal, it's a case of life imitating art, as the murdered character was actually killed. With a fatal crime taking place right under the noses of two serving detectives, the national press and Police HQ were sent into a frenzy.
Pressure was continuing to mount from CS Charlie Woods (Jade Harrison) on the status of the small station house. Meanwhile, deciding she wanted another shot at love, Anne (Barbara Flynn) catapulted herself into the world of online dating, lining up a date at home. It seems fans were thrilled to see the Death in Paradise spin-off back on screens and they took to social media to share their thoughts, reports the Express.
