Barcelona winger Raphinha has apologised for his furious reaction to being substituted in Thursday night's 2-2 draw against Manchester United.
The former Leeds United talisman enjoyed a brilliant night at Camp Nou, laying on Marcos Alonso for the opening goal of the night before seeing his own dangerous cross curl through bodies and past David de Gea. United had cancelled out Alonso's finish after just two minutes when Marcus Rashford fired home, going ahead through a Jules Kounde own-goal before Xavi's side drew level.
And with the Spanish giants pushing to take a lead back to Old Trafford and Raphinha their danger-man throughout, there will have been some relieved Reds to see his number come up on 83 minutes, to be replaced by Ferran Torres. The Brazilian made no effort to hide his frustrations, seeming to sulk on his way off before punching the bench.

"I already spoke to the coach after the game, I took the opportunity to apologise to everyone," Raphinha said. "To the coach again, to Ferran, who was going to take my position, to the team, to the fans. But there are times when we really want to be on the pitch to help the team win.
"We are human beings and we all have moments that we cannot control. I know that I made a mistake and I am here to apologise to everyone and it won’t happen anymore."
Barca boss Xavi was also quizzed on the move, which saw his best player on the night relieved while his side were back on the up.
