“I just tested positive for COVID,” his announcement started. “I’ve had a scratchy throat for a couple days, but am feeling fine otherwise.”
Barack added that his wife, “Michelle and I are grateful to be vaccinated and boosted, and she has tested negative,” before reminding his followers that it’s a good time to “get vaccinated if you haven’t already, even as cases go down.”
Barack is the newest world leader to contract the virus that became a pandemic two years ago. Queen Elizabeth II, who tested positive last month, just returned to public duties.
