Five years ago, the story that had long been whispered in the halls of agencies and studios, as well as on film and television sets, finally became public. A series of bombshell articles revealed that Harvey Weinstein harassed and assaulted dozens of women for decades and used his power to bully them into silence.   Weinstein’s fall was the fuse the ignited a revolution. That upheaval turned things around for the better, and culture has been forever changed. And yet, the entertainment industry still has a long way to go to untangle a complex web of decades of bad behavior. In an interesting turn of events, the fight for change that began nearly five years ago with those initial stories will be litigated once again in courtrooms across America in the coming weeks.

In an Instagram caption celebrating the occasion, Stacy wrote: “July 11th was my first entry at 100 and today oct 3rd my first entry at #1. Wow oh wow. I feel heavy gratitude all over my body. Jazz Tangcay Artisans Editor LCD Soundsystem has released their first single in over five years, “New Body Rhumba.” The song features on the soundtrack of Noah Baumbach’s “White Noise,” which will be wide released in theaters on Nov. 25. The Brooklyn dance-rock band is hoping the song will be a major player in the Oscar race for best original song. Released via Columbia Records and DFA Records, James Murphy, Pat Mahoney and Nancy Whang wrote the single, which was produced by Murphy for DFA Productions. “White Noise” will open the New York Film Festival. The film is an adaptation of Don DeLillo’s novel of the same name and tells the story of a contemporary American family attempting to deal with everyday life’s mundane conflicts amid an airborne toxic event.

LCD Soundsystem have released ‘New Body Rhumba’, the band’s first new song in five years.The song was created for the soundtrack of White Noise, an upcoming film directed by Noah Baumbach. The Netflix title — which stars Adam Diver and Greta Gerwig — is a film adaptation of the Don DeLillo novel of the same name, and will feature music composed by Danny Elfman.The seven-minute ‘New Body Rhumba’ sees LCD Soundsystem enlist a shouty backing choir alongside the vocals of frontman James Murphy.

The feat also marks the quartet’s first No. 1 on the Billboard 200, although 2020’s full-length debut “The Album” came close with a close No. 2 high. The eight-track set also debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart with 75,500 copies sold. Most of these sales come from collectible CD packages and digital album sales.

Wallen’s “Dangerous: The Double Album” has just established a new mark for the album by a single artist that has spent the most weeks in the Billboard album chart’s top 10: 86. The previous record-holder (per Billboard) was the debut album by folk trio Peter, Paul and Mary, which spent 85 weeks in the top 10 in the early ’60s. He’s also recently passed longevity marks for Adele’s “21” and Bruce Springsteen’s “Born in the USA,” each of which spent 84 weeks in the top 10.
