Awkwafina Is Nora From Queens actor Bowen Yang has said that he “almost died” in a production mishap when a horse that he was riding bucked in fear.Yang revealed on his Las Culturistas podcast recently that the incident happened while shooting season three of the sitcom in Iceland.“Actually, [it’s] not fun to be on a horse,” Yang said. “[I’ve] ridden a horse for camera.
Guess what? This crew, and I love this crew, but this crew decided to have a drone, and of course the horse don’t know what the fuck that is, and then I almost died.”He continued: “I almost died in Iceland! Even hundreds of yards away, these horses can clock. They were spooked and then I almost [fell off].
I almost got bucked and there was part of me though that was like, ‘This is a good way to go.’”During the third season of the HBO series Yang’s character travels to Iceland to find his distant relatives.Elsewhere during the shoot Yang suffered another blunder of sorts when a piece of toilet roll that was stuck to his shoes was spotted by crew members. “The other narrative from Iceland was that I had a piece of used toilet paper – my own used toilet paper – stuck to my shoe and then everybody on set saw,” he said.Awkwafina Is Nora From Queens is a HBO show created by Awkwafina – known for starring in Crazy Rich Asians and Marvel’s Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings – in which the actress plays a fictionalised version of herself growing up in Queens, New York.Yang, meanwhile, is a Saturday Night Live regular who made headlines last year for his skit that took aim at Kanye West’s failed attempt to strike a deal with Skechers.

It was just fun to be part of a movie – there are so few people who actually get to do that.” Paltrow was “really nice” and Black “a delightful person,” and the starlet finally felt noticed for her persona — ironically, the plot line of the film — after fighting “really hard to be seen as a personality and not just my size.”But the film’s seemingly progressive storyline – that the “obese” character wasn’t a “villain,” but rather a “cool,” “popular” girl — instead welcomed an onslaught of body-shamers who zeroed in on Snitzer’s weight. It was then that Snitzer’s taste of the limelight soured.

William Earl Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme has faced many demons since the release of the 2017 album “Villains”: cancer, divorce, rehab and court battles. And the new Queens record, the just-released “In Times New Roman…,” definitely adds weight to the band’s woozy, bluesy rock — a dour energy far removed from the dancier sound conjured by producer Mark Ronson on “Villains.” “Roman,” self-produced by band founder Homme and one of his strongest QOTSA lineups ever, is one of the rawest and heaviest albums the band has delivered, and during Saturday’s Queens, New York stop of their “The End Is Nero Tour,” they proved that sometimes the new material can be a live standout, even as the band approaches its fourth decade of existence.

The King and Queen are expected to mark the first anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II’s death privately, it is understood. Charles, 74, and Camilla, 75, who are on their traditional summer break, will not hold a private family gathering at their Balmoral estate to commemorate the passing of the late monarch and no public event is planned. Elizabeth II, the UK’s longest-serving monarch, died peacefully at Balmoral, Aberdeenshire, on September 8 last year, aged 96, after reigning for 70 years.
